After Jimmy Garoppolo‘s rough preseason outing against the Denver Broncos on Monday, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said he would like to see the quarterback play more in the team’s third preseason game.
While speaking to reporters Thursday, Shanahan said to expect around a half’s worth of action for Garoppolo.
“I would like [the offensive starters] get a whole half in, but sometimes halves can be 20 plays, sometimes they can be 45,” he said. “So, it’s more about the play count, but you’d like them to get a normal half in.
