FanSided’s Brad Weiss just came out with his latest mock NFL Draft for 2019, his post-Super Bowl LIII version, and the San Francisco 49ers wind up going with an EDGE at No. 2 overall.
The pick? Kentucky’s Josh Allen.
Here’s what Weiss had to say, specifically, about the selection:
Allen is a guy who is going to be a standout player at the NFL level, and has the ability to be a double digit sack guy by the time his career is over. The 49ers have an immediate need at the edge rusher position, and Allen is certainly a player who can step in and be a dominant force in year one, as the 49ers look to contend in the NFC West and beyond.
