The 49ers went 27 days with no player on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list.
The organization learned on Monday how quickly things can change when starting middle linebacker Fred Warner was placed on the list. Only three NFL players remain on the list with less that two weeks remaining until the start of the regular season.
“I think it’s just a good reminder that no one is out of the woods,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahann said on Monday. “When you go a few weeks with nothing happening, you can start to feel pretty safe, and it’s a reminder that this stuff is out there.
