Sad news to report today. Hall of Fame quarterback Y.A. Tittle passed away on Monday at the age of 90. Although a lot of people think about his time with the New York Giants, he spent the bulk of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, from 1951 to 1960.
49ers CEO Jed York issued a statement on Tittle’s passing.
“The San Francisco 49ers organization and our Faithful fans have lost a dear member of our family. Y.A. Tittle will forever hold a special place in not only 49ers history but that of the National Football League.
