The 49ers returned to the practice field Monday. According to the beat reporters on hand, both Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance both threw interceptions. Fred Warner picked Jimmy G off while newcomer Ha Ha Clinton-Dix intercepted Lance as he worked with the second-team defense.
The theme has been that Garoppolo looks more comfortable when it’s time to move the ball, and Lance is better during the earlier portion of 11-on-11 drills.
That remained true on Monday, per those on hand. Garoppolo went 10-10 and had a touchdown pass during his drives. Garoppolo started 2-7, making him 12-17 on the day.
