SANTA CLARA — Roger Craig will spend the 49ers bye week grinding out some tough yards at Levi’s Stadium. And he wants fans to run along with him.
Craig is back as the face (and legs) of the second annual Golden Heart 4.9K run/walk, which takes place Sunday morning, pending the latest air quality reports.
Proceeds from the race provide “support and relief in time of physical, mental and financial crisis” for former 49ers. Among other things, the Golden Heart Fund helped cover costs for the late Dwight Clark as his medical bills stacked up after his ALS diagnosis.
