Among the hodgepodge of topics Trent Baalke covered during his media circuit on Wednesday were newly-signed tight end Garrett Celek and defensive lineman Quinton Dial.
With both deals now official, the San Francisco 49ers general manager expressed excitement to have those players locked up for years to come.
“We’re excited for both of them,” Baalke said from the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. “Garrett was an undrafted free agent and Quinton Dial was a fifth-round pick out of Alabama. Neither one came in with the highest of accolades. Garrett had to work his way onto the roster, as did Quinton.
