I’ll admit, fellow San Francisco 49ers fans, I was only casually paying attention to the buildup to what became a very impressive debut of the Alliance of American Football last weekend. The eight-team league is still very new and foreign to me, the only notable aspects being a handful of players and coaches with whom I’m still relatively familiar.
Case in point, the AAF has some former 49ers in their ranks. Case in point, former Niners head coaches Mike Singletary and Dennis Erickson are both AAF head coaches. Former San Francisco offensive coordinator Mike Martz is, too.
