49ers’ Carlos Hyde can’t stay healthy

Carlos Hyde entered the NFL with fanfare as the San Francisco 49ers selected the Ohio State running back in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Due to injuries opening up playing time, Hyde played his first season behind 49ers legend Frank Gore, who has remained in form for the Indianapolis Colts.

The 49ers moved on from Gore last season, placing their trust in Hyde to be the number one back. Initially Hyde looked as if he would prove the 49ers front office right, gaining 168 yards in the team’s Week 1 blowout of the Minnesota Vikings.
