When the 49ers canceled their OTA practice Monday, it felt as if Thursday’s practice wouldn’t happen, either. But then, a few teams around the NFL decided not to hold mandatory minicamp that’s scheduled for next week.
New Texans’ head coach David Culley said, “our attendance at OTAs has been great for us here. We’ve accomplished what we wanted to accomplish.” When I saw that, instantly, “oh, the 49ers are probably doing the same.”
Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media Wednesday afternoon and canceled mandatory minicamp after losing three players for all or half of the 2021 season.
