As the NFL offseason moves into the post-draft period, the San Francisco 49ers and quarterback Brock Purdy are dragging out their contract extension talks. But that may not be for long, as all signs appear to be pointed toward progress.
In a roundup of NFL news published Monday, the Athletic’s NFL insider Mike Jones described the Purdy contract as a matter of “when, not if.”
“Purdy is expected to wind up with a contract that will pay him around $50 million per season and places him among the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league,” wrote Jones.
