The San Francisco 49ers (3-4) were blasted by the Kansas City Chiefs (5-2) 44-23 on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium.
On a day the 49ers celebrated the 2012 team which won the NFC Championship and with several franchise greats in attendance, San Francisco put up an embarrassing performance.
For the second week in a row, the 49ers defense could not make a stop in crucial situations. Truth be told, they couldn’t make a stop for nearly the entire game on Sunday.
The offense wasn’t much better.
After a good drive to open the game and a quick touchdown after the only stop of the day by the defense led to a touchdown, the 49ers offense bogged down.
