The San Francisco 49ers cut down their roster to 53 players, and that means new numbers for some of the rookies. The new numbers are as follows:
RB Matt Breida - No. 22
WR Victor Bolden Jr. - No. 17
WR Kendrick Bourne - No. 10
CB Ahkello Witherspoon - No. 23
S Lorenzo Jerome - No. 26
The 49ers assigned numbers to the rookies after they were drafted or signed as undrafted free agents. Due to the number of retired numbers, the 90-man roster usually has several players sharing numbers.
