The 49ers are thin at cornerback as Emmanuel Moseley started training camp on the Reserve/COVID list. Because of that, Tim Harris Jr. — the 198th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft — took reps with the starting defense during the Niners' initial practice.
It’s not a great sign when you are looking for cornerback depth after one practice, but the team also could stand to use another camp body but, more importantly, a veteran.
Because of this, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that San Francisco would work out former Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick on Friday.
