The 49ers have been suffering from a slew of unfortunate injuries to key players since Week 1 dropped without the benefit of the usual preseason ramping-up process. Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Bosa, Raheem Mostert and more are all on the shelf through at least Week 4, so naturally they’re going to need some extra hands for their Week 4 primetime game against the Eagles on Sunday.
On Saturday afternoon, the Niners announced the following call-ups from their practice squad:

* Deebo Samuel (IR) and RB JaMycal Hasty (practice squad) to active roster
* Joe Walker and Jamar Taylor flexed from practice squad for Sunday's game— Matt Barrows (@mattbarrows) October 3, 2020The team and their fans have already expressed joy at having Deebo Samuel activated, although the running back will supposedly be used sparingly on Sunday.
