On Friday morning the San Francisco 49ers showed their support by giving personalized jerseys to Abby Dahlkemper and Tierna Davidson. Both players from the Women’s National World Cup team are from Menlo Park, California. Davidson played three years at Stanford, so there’s a John Lynch joke there. Dahlkemper played her college ball at UCLA. The two ladies from the Bay Area received words of encouragement from Lynch ahead of today’s big game.
I’m not the biggest soccer fan in the world, but Tuesday’s match against England was exciting. Plenty of action to keep us casual fans entertained.
