Despite the San Francisco 49ers making some notable roster improvements during the offseason, the team’s 2019 schedule mandates head coach Kyle Shanahan and Co. get off to a good start.
And that campaign kicks off in Week 1 with a road contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It’s not the best of scenarios. The Niners were dominated by the Bucs 27-9 in Week 12 last season, following San Francisco’s bye week. Shanahan hasn’t exactly had the best success on the road, and the last time these two teams met in Tampa Bay, the outcome wasn’t at all to Shanahan’s liking.
