2020 Pro Bowl: Why 49ers CB K’Waun Williams got snubbed

For the first time since way earlier in the decade, the San Francisco 49ers will be well represented in the Pro Bowl.

The league officially announced starters and the immediate alternates on Tuesday, and the Niners contingent will be a good one. Four starters — EDGE Nick Bosa, tight end George Kittle, cornerback Richard Sherman and fullback Kyle Juszczyk — will represent the red and gold as starters, while an additional eight will be alternates. In that latter crop, the 49ers could send defensive tackles Arik Armstead and DeForest Buckner, offensive linemen Joe Staley and Weston Richburg, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, running back Raheem Mostert, linebacker Fred Warner and defensive back Jimmie Ward.
