The San Francisco 49ers selected two new players in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. San Francisco started the night by trading back one spot from #13 to #14 overall and taking South Carolina DT Javon Kinlaw. Kinlaw is expected to replace DeForest Buckner who was traded to the Colts earlier this offseason. San Francisco then traded up to #25 overall and took Arizona State WR Brandon Aiyuk. Javon Kinlaw might turn out to be the best DT in the entire NFL Draft. Kinlaw comes in to the 49ers front four and will be an immediate game wrecker alongside the other elite pass rushers the 49ers have. Kinlaw has been compared to Philadelphia’s Fletcher Cox which should make 49ers fans very excited.

The 49ers needed to get a WR in the first round and got their man in Arizona State’s Brandon Aiyuk out of Arizona State. Aiyuk is expected to be a starter for the 49ers. Despite Denzel Mims, Laviska Shenault, Tee Higgins and Chase Claypool being on the board, San Francisco went with Aiyuk. Let's see what Kyle Shanahan can do with their 2nd Round 1 pick.
