Per source, Seahawks won't match 49ers' offer on Garry Gilliam. Gilliam is headed to San Francisco on 1-year, $2.2M deal.— Sheil Kapadia (@SheilKapadia) April 18, 2017
The Seahawks had five days to match the offer for Gilliam, but didn't need all five to make their decision.
Gilliam was a part-time starter for Seattle, but failed to play well as part of a bad Seahawks offensive line.
He'll likely serve as the swing tackle for the 49ers, behind Joe Staley and Trenton Brown. He could push Brown for the starting right tackle role, but $2.2 million is backup money.
