49ers Draft Rumors: San Francisco Wants To Take Deshaun Watson With No. 2 Pick

The San Francisco 49ers are the ultimate wild card in this year's NFL Draft. They hold the No. 2 overall pick and have been linked to various players, from Leonard Fournette to Solomon Thomas and more. The latest player on that list is Deshaun Watson, the QB from Clemson.

Greg Gabriel is the former Chicago Bears scouting director. He currently works for Pro Football Weekly and 670 the Score in Chicago.

Watson would no doubt fill a need, as the 49ers need a franchise QB. Watson has a winning pedigree, which he showed at Clemson. But, there are concerns about his arm strength and accuracy.

Of course, the general consensus is that Watson is not worth the No. 2 overall pick. It's unlikely the Browns would take Trubisky over Myles Garrett, and it'd be even a bigger surprise if Garrett fell past the 49ers.

Another theory is that the 49ers could simply be trying to drum up trade interest for the No. 2 overall pick. General manager John Lynch has already public said the pick is on the block, but there hasn't been a ton of interest. So, leaking fake interest in players like Watson, Fournette and so on could bait a team into trading up with the 49ers for the No. 2 overall pick.
