49ers News: Ray McDonald Court Hearing Postponed, New Date Annoucement?

In this 49ers news and rumors update, it looks as if Ray McDonald will be on the field for the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, regardless of the scrutiny surrounding him at the present time.

Per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com, "a court hearing for Ray McDonald, originally scheduled for Monday, has been postponed as San Jose police continue their investigation into the San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman's Aug. 31 arrest on suspicion of domestic violence, according to the Santa Clara district attorney's office."

Here is the Santa Clara District Attorney's official tweet on the matter:

Up and down the organizational board, the San Francisco 49ers have cited "due process" in allowing McDonald to play until more information surfaces.

McDonald is yet to be officially charged.

Once the full investigation is completed, the findigns will be sent over to the Santa Clara District Attorney's Office. The DA will then determine if charges will be filed.
