49ers News: Jim Harbaugh sidesteps criticism of Colin Kaepernick's play in loss to Raiders

The San Francisco 49ers' offense had a dismal showing for the majority of Sunday's shocking 23-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders at the O.Co Coliseum.

“It’s shocking,” 49ers running back Frank Gore said, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. “I just know the type of guys we’ve got in this locker room. It’s been a tough year, up and down.

“We knew it was a must-win. To come in here and still not get the job done ... this is the lowest point.”

Assessing the 49ers' struggles on Sunday, it's hard not to point at starting quarterback's two interceptions, five sacks taken, and three delay of game penalties. Kaepernick looked uncomfortable once again as the franchise seemingly tries to shift him into more of a pocket passer role, posting a 54.4 passer rating while rookie Oakland QB Derek Carr shined with a 140.2 rating.

I look at it as a team effort,” Harbaugh said when asked his opinion on Kaepernick’s play on Sunday. “And we didn’t get it done.”
