San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin had a very simple assessment of Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett after a controversial hit in Sunday's 17-13 49ers victory.
According to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com, "after taking what appeared to be a late hit on the Washington sidelines, 49ers receiver Anquan Boldin exchanged, ahem, pleasantries with Washington defensive coordinator Jim Haslett. Asked about the sniping, Boldon rolled his eyes and said he did not recall, exactly, what the exchange was about, exactly. “He’s irrelevant,” Boldin said of Haslett."
No mention was made as to what caused the jawing between the two, but one could hazard a guess that Boldin took umbrage with the way Haslett reacted to what appeared by all accounts to be an unnecessary hit on the sidelines.
Haslett has yet to comment on the matter publicly as of this writing. Stay tuned.
