In 49ers news today, troubled San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was with the team on Monday for the beginning of offseason conditioning and workouts.
Per Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, Smith is currently still being treated as a working piece for the team's plans going forward:

Smith's struggles with substance-abuse and his controversial incident at LAX International Airport have been well-documented, causing many analysts to wonder if the 49ers will give up on the promising talent due to his off-the-field issues.
The 49ers may choose to wait for more details on Smith's run-in with airport police to become available before making a hasty decision on Smith's future with the team.
As of now, no criminal charges have been filed against Smith, despite allegedly stating that he was a carrying a bomb on his person when searched by TSA agents at LAX last Sunday.
