Jorge Masvidal defeated Nate Diaz in their highly anticipated BMF title bout Saturday night when a doctor called the bout after Round 3 due to cuts Diaz suffered above his right eye.
The fight was main event of UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden.
Masvidal cut Diaz above his right eye with a big elbow in the clinch in the opening round.
Masvidal (35-13) entered Saturday on a two-fight winning streak, including a five-second knockout of Ben Askren at UFC 239 in July that was the fastest KO in UFC history.
