SDSU overcomes Air Force, lightning delay in 21-17 victory

SDSU junior linebacker Kyahva Tezino stares an opponent down during the Aztecs' victory over Air Force on Oct. 12 at SDCCU Stadium. Tezino led SDSU with 15 tackles.

San Diego State football kept Air Force grounded en route to winning their fifth straight game by a final score on 21-17, overcoming a 67-minute lightning delay on Friday night at SDCCU stadium.

Inclimate weather prompted a 30-minute delay with 5:50 left in the third which was announced at 8:22 p.m. Lightning prolonged the game multiple times after it reappeared within an eight-mile radius, each time resetting the 30-minute delay due to NCAA rules.
