Arizona State has landed San Diego State forward and local product Zylan Cheatham.
"It had a little bit to do with going back home," the 6-foot-9, 220-pound sophomore told ESPN after choosing the Sun Devils. "But it was more about the basketball situation and that Coach (Bobby) Hurley and I had the same vision for me and for the program."
Cheatham, who played his high school ball at South Mountain in Phoenix, decided to transfer prior to the announcement that San Diego State coach Steve Fisher was retiring.
