San Diego State men’s basketball is the subject of an NCAA investigation according to a CBS Sports report on Tuesday morning.
The potential investigation is centered around alleged impermissible benefits to prospected student-athletes.
The report cited multiple anonymous sources.
An NCAA spokeswoman said in an email that the organization can’t comment on current, pending or potential investigations.
It’s unclear what the timeframe of the potential violations is, or who the alleged investigation is centered around.
Impermissible benefits are gifts or arrangements provided to student-athletes or prospects, their friends or family members, that aren’t available to the public.
