San Diego State football opened its 2017 season with a 38-17 victory over FCS opponent UC Davis.

The game-time temperature clocked in at 95 degrees, the second-hottest recorded temperature for an SDSU home game, behind its contest vs North Dakota State on Sept. 15, 2012, which came in at 97 degrees.

The heat did not stop fans from coming out, as the crowd rounded out at 46,132, nearly 9,000 higher than the 2016 game average of 37,289.
