SAN DIEGO -- Matt Mitchell scored 21 points, Jalen McDaniels added 18 and San Diego State beat UNLV 94-56 on Saturday.
Mitchell shot 7 of 9 from the floor and McDaniels pulled in 12 rebounds to notch his sixth double-double of the season. Malik Pope and Max Montana added 17 points apiece for the Aztecs (15-10, 7-7 Mountain West Conference), who shot 50.7 percent from field (36-71) and pulled back to .500 in conference play.
San Diego State dished out 22 assists and nine of 10 players scored. Trey Kell lead the Aztecs with six assists, his second consecutive game with that many.
