The San Diego State men’s basketball team had a week to prepare for Grand Canyon University, but the Aztecs didn’t look like a sprightly bunch coming off an eight-day break Friday night.
SDSU dropped the contest 52-45, picking up their fifth loss of the season and their second at home, the other being against Little Rock.
The Aztecs closed the game out on a 2:59 scoring drought and were 2 for their last 16 field goals.
Grand Canyon took a two-point lead with 1:21 left in the game off a hook from senior Grandy Glaze and didn’t look back.
