Yu Darvish had his best start of the 2025 season and helped the San Diego Padres get a 5-0 win over the New York Mets at Petco Park, Wednesday.
Darvish came into the game looking for a bounce back performance after a terrible start on the road in St. Louis against the Cardinals his last time out. Darvish delivered seven innings of shutout baseball, allowing just two hits on 76 pitches.
The defense behind Darvish had another solid game where routine plays were made, but it also included some above average defensive plays and one outstanding play by San Diego second baseman Jake Cronenworth.
