Xander Bogaerts has taken his fair share of criticism in recent weeks, but on Tuesday night at Petco Park, he helped the San Diego Padres secure a 7-4 win over the San Francisco Giants and end a four-game losing streak.
Bogaerts came up to the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning with Gavin Sheets standing at first base. Sheets was hit by a pitch and Bogaerts followed with a line drive home run over the short wall in left field to give the Padres a three-run lead over the Giants.
