The fans in attendance for the Padres-Diamondbacks game got re-introduced to “Slam Diego” on Tuesday afternoon when Fernando Tatis (who else) cranked a bomb over the left field fence with the bases loaded to help put away Arizona 7-2 for the team’s first win of spring training.
The crack of Tatis’ bat, coupled with the beautiful weather and the view of the bases loaded, was something you just have to see. It was like someone took all of the “Slam Diego” hype from a season ago, put it in a shot, and injected it straight into our veins.
