Trent Grisham is a Golden Glove Award winner

Major League Baseball’s Golden Glove Award winners were announced this evening and the Padres got themselves at least one player who will be earning himself some hardware. Second-year centerfielder Trent Grisham won his first Golden Glove of his young career after helping the Padres to a 37-23 regular season record and their first playoff appearance in over 14 years.

The 5’11, 224-pounder slashed .251/.352/.456 on the year with an OPS of .808 while proving to be one of the more-dynamic and young centerfielders in the game.

Third baseman Manny Machado was one of the three finalist for a Golden Glove Award with the RockiesNolan Arenado and Brian Anderson of the Marlins’.
