If there was any question who he is and how he will fit in the ecosystem of the Padres clubhouse, that was cleared up on the first day the new left fielder strutted into spring training, the friendliest badass this team has seen in some time and the kind of honcho it believes it desperately needs.
“Every team wants a Tommy Pham, the competitor he is,” Padres associate manager Skip Schumaker said. “He’s all about winning and nothing else.
