Snell, Padres falter in 10-4 loss to Athletics

The bad version of Blake Snell was out there for the Padres on Wednesday afternoon as the first-year Friar allowed seven runs on the day, including four in the first inning, en route to a 10-4 loss to the Athletics inside Petco Park.

Snell also walked four and K’d just one batter.

After facing down a 10-0 deficit heading into the bottom of the seventh, the Padres managed to score four-straight runs through the final three innings but it was far from what they needed to turn the tides in this one. Austin Nola doubled into center to give the Padres their first points of the outing with Jurickson Profar notching a pair of RBIs in the ninth.
