While the games don’t mean a thing in terms of the overall goals set forth by the San Diego Padres in 2020, a 6-1 record isn’t a bad thing. How would we be feeling right now if they were 1-6? Anyways, the team’s 40-man roster is jam-packed, and we knew, heading into the exhibition games, that several position battles were going to be fun to watch.
As we flip the calendar to March, and as the roster spots start to dwindle, it will be critical for guys to stand out from the pack. The 26-man roster is relatively set with a few potential spots left for players to earn playing time at the big league level.
