San Diego held scoreless in Toronto

The San Diego Padres went on the road to face the Toronto Blue Jays after being swept by the Seattle Mariners at Petco Park over the weekend.

The hope from Padres fans was the offensive struggles at home would cease and San Diego would get back to scoring and winning. The Padres did not score and they did not win, falling to the Blue Jays 3-0 at Rogers Centre, Tuesday.

San Diego carried an 0-for-21 with runners in scoring position into Toronto and that streak got worse and moved to 0-for-24 with three more missed opportunities.

Blue Jays starting pitcher Chris Bassitt held the Padres scoreless through six innings and scattered four hits.
