Robert Suarez came on in the bottom of the ninth inning looking to add another save to his season total and to secure another win for the San Diego Padres over the Cincinnati Reds. He walked off the mound and the field with a blown save and a loss as the Reds came from behind to earn a 3-2 walk-off win at Great American Ballpark, Sunday.
Elly De La Cruz reached on an error by Tyler Wade at third base to start the bottom of the ninth inning. Suarez got Austin Hays to fly out to left-center field for the first out of the inning.
