SAN DIEGO -- Rookie Ryan McMahon drew a four-pitch, bases-loaded walk from Padres reliever Brad Hand in the top of the ninth to break a scoreless tie and open the door to a 3-1 Rockies victory at Petco Park on Thursday afternoon.
After McMahon's one-out walk for his first RBI this season, Hand fanned Charlie Blackmon, but allowed a two-run single to DJ LeMahieu. All of the runs were unearned because of second baseman Carlos Asuaje's error when he fumbled a throw on a bunt by Gerardo Parra earlier in the inning.
