Rockies defense stifles Padres in 6-1 loss

I guess the high we’ve all been riding couldn’t have lasted forever, right?

On Saturday afternoon, Rockies lefty Kyle Freeland (2-0) had himself a night, throwing for six innings and only allowing two hits with four strikeouts and one walk. Padres starter Joey Lucchesi (0-1) will probably be pushing this game out of his short-term memory after going a mere 1 23 innings and giving up three runs.

There isn’t much to report offensively as the Friars only managed three hits total, including a solo home run from CF Trent Grisham in the top of the eighth.
