DENVER -- An adjusted Padres lineup cranked two two-out home runs -- including one from pitcher Clayton Richard -- in a 7-6 victory over the Rockies at Coors Field on Monday night.
Manuel Margot had hit leadoff during last week's four-game set in San Diego, but manager Andy Green went with Carlos Asuaje batting first and Margot hitting eighth for this series opener. Margot had a second-inning RBI single. After Richard parked his third career homer off the facing of the second deck in the fourth, Asuaje hit his first homer of the year.
