Reds hit Paddack enough; Padres slump to fourth straight loss

Chris Paddack was dominant on Thursday, except on a pitch right after his night had started and one shortly before his night was over.

All that did was keep the Padres close, as their bats were befuddled once again in a 4-1 loss to the Reds at Petco Park.

The Padres have scored nine runs in a four-game skid.

Joey Votto sent an 0-2 fastball over the wall in center field leading off the game, and Tucker Barnhart lined a first-pitch fastball just over the wall in right field with two out in the fifth inning.
