Finally, Travis Jankowski has a start under his belt. Because the Padres’ 24-year-old outfielder is not sure when his next will come, he had time to clue us into the routine keeping him fresh off the bench, whether or not he’s better off playing every day in Triple-A and what went into coming back from a devastating injury in 2014.
Q: You knew what your job was going to be as a fourth outfielder. Did you think you’d have to wait until May 2 for your first start?
