Padres unravel in the 6th, fall 5-1 to Dodgers

The Padres were the first to get on the board in Game 1, but their bullpen efforts fizzled out in the sixth inning as the Dodgers tacked on four-straight runs en route to a 5-1 victory over the Friars on Tuesday night at Globe Life Field in Game 1 of the NLDS.

San Diego’s lone run of the evening came from Austin Nola on an RBU single to deep left field to score Wil Myers all the way from first base.

With a one-run lead, the Padres were feeling somewhat comfortable due to the fact that hits were hard to come by in this one.
