The future of the San Diego Padres' bullpen has bent, but not broke. Just days after hearing news of closer Robert Suarez opting out to test the market, left-hander Wandy Peralta decided to remain with San Diego.
Ahead of the 2024 season, Peralta inked a four-year deal with the Padres with opt-out opportunities following each year. Through two seasons in Southern California, Peralta wants to stay with a team that is hopeful of contending for a World Series in 2026.
