Padres starting rare three game series in Minnesota with the Twins

The San Diego Padres played three really competitive games against the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend and now they’re in Minnesota for a rare series at Target Field. They haven’t played a game against the Twins in Minneapolis since 2017 (and they lost one of those games 16-0). Carlos Asuaje and Yangervis Solarte were Andy Green’s second and third hitters back then.

Good thing the roster looks totally different.

The Twins roster looks different, too. Byron Buxton was on their roster in 2017 but he isn’t playing center field anymore. Manager Rocco Baldelli has put him as the every day designated hitter to limit the wear and tear on his body.
