Its’ always a good day when the San Diego Padres have Chris Paddack on the mound, and he certainly delivered in his first Spring outing.
He allowed just 1 hit over 2 innings with 3 strikeout and looked very sharp doing so.
But it was the pitchers who came in behind him that really impressed me on Wednesday.
Pierce Johnson, who I think is one of the favorites to grab one of the last bullpen spots, looked very good on Wednesday. He did allow a hit and walked a batter, but I was impressed with his stuff and think he will be another great arm in the bullpen.
